NYC mayoral candidate ‘Ayatollah’ Mamdani condemns bombing of Iran nuke sites

New York City’s anti-Israel mayoral candidate is taking the most predictable side ever on the bombing of Iran.

Just days after being likened to Iranian Ayatollas by Republican Representative Randy Fine of Florida, Zohran Mamdani is condemning the bombing of Iranian nuclear sites. He called the move an “unconstitutional military action,” blasting President Donald Trump for the action after he “ran for president promising to end wars.”

“Donald Trump ran for president promising to end wars, not start new ones,” said the Democratic Socialist who is competing with frontrunner Andrew Cuomo for control of New York City.

“Today’s unconstitutional military action represents a dark, new chapter in his endless betrayals that now threaten to plunge the world deeper into chaos,” his statement continued. “In a city as global as ours, the impacts of war are felt deeply here at home.”

He also slammed what he called the “political establishment” for choosing to fund “endless wars” rather than care for Americans back home.

“For Americans, middle-aged and younger, this is all we have known. We cannot accept it any longer.”

But he’s not alone. Cuomo also slammed the president’s decision to bomb the nuclear sites, calling Trump “the big bad wolf knocking at the door.” However, he agreed that the “world is a safer place,” even if he wouldn’t have gone about it in the same way Trump did.

“You have to separate the actual bombing of Iran and ending their military and nuclear capacity versus the means and the process by which Trump did it,” he said, arguing that Trump is still somehow the bad guy despite his actions and the outcome being good for the United States.

“I don’t support the way he [Trump] did it. I do believe he should have consulted Congress. I believe this is Trump saying, ‘ I don’t have to follow the rules. I do what I want to do when I do it.”

Cuomo also warned New Yorkers to be on “high alert” for any “possible reprisal” from the attacks.
