NYC ‘on verge of electing a communist who believes in blowing up buses and cafes’

Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich warned of the dismal future that awaits New York City if local Democrats vote to elect radical left-wing Muslim Zohran Mamdani as their next mayor.

During a conversation on the current state of the fully radicalized Democrat Party on Thursday’s edition of “Hannity,” Pavlich remarked on the Ugandan-born Mamdani’s fondness for jihadi ideology and the danger that the charismatic “communist lunatic” will represent to the country as a whole if he becomes the leader of America’s largest city.

After the panel weighed in on recent remarks by longtime strategist James Carville, who now feels free to endorse the most left-wing ideas of his party, including packing the Supreme Court and unilaterally granting statehood – and four new Democrat senators – to Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, host Sean Hannity turned the floor over to his colleague.

“Yeah, this fight is not over; the left is never done with their business. They’ve been fighting for this for a century in terms of getting what they want,” Pavlich said. “They’re not gonna just back down now, especially after they were embarrassed by President Trump beating them for a second time after they threw everything they possibly could at him, and it all failed.”

“And when it comes to the local election of the New York City mayor, I mean, this is the most important city in the world, and it’s on the verge of electing an open communist who believes in blowing up buses and cafes as a sign of resistance called intifada and redefining that so people don’t really know what it means,” she said.

“And personnel is policy, I mean, you’re looking at who he’s talking to about putting in his administration,” Pavlich continued. “He wants the former squad member, Jamaal Bowman, who was in Congress, to be in charge of the school system in New York City. This is a guy who glorifies cop killers. This is the guy who glorifies Hamas. This is the guy who says October 7th was justified. So this isn’t just about one race and an obscure place in the country.”

“This is New York City, and if Mamdani wins, he’s going to put a lot of people around him who are going to use their power to indoctrinate people in the system in New York, but also to take it national, which you saw when they brought him to Washington, D.C., just a couple of weeks ago,” she added. “And so-called moderate Democrats are welcoming him with open arms as the guy with all of the energy in the party. So I wouldn’t underestimate him. There’s potential here that he could really change the country and give the breath of life that they need after losing to Trump.”

Mamdani has refused to condemn the anti-Israel slogan “Globalize the Intifada” and has come under fire for remarks that seem to express support for the Hamas terrorist organization that massacred more than 1,000 people in Israeli civilian areas on October 7, 2023.

Recent polling shows that the brash young upstart has opened up a big lead on his two top opponents, current New York City Mayor Eric Adams and disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who stubbornly insists on staying in the race despite his loss in the Democratic primary, splitting the anti-Mamdani vote.

The assemblyman has pledged to implement communist ideas such as government-run grocery stores, rent freezes and other freebies if elected, and has received the endorsement from the country’s two most prominent socialists, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who remain dominant forces in the Democratic Party as it continues to become even more deeply rooted in left-wing ideology despite its 2024 electoral drubbing.
