Among those reportedly under scrutiny are former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former FBI Director James Comey.

While the specific location of the grand jury remains undisclosed, it is not yet known whether proceedings are taking place in Washington, D.C., or in another jurisdiction.

John Solomon is reporting that his sources are saying the grand jury will be in Florida due to the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

The outcome of the grand jury could potentially result in criminal charges, depending on the findings.

The decision to move forward with a grand jury signals a significant step in the long-running dispute over the origins and conduct of the federal investigation into President Trump’s 2016 campaign, commonly referred to as “Crossfire Hurricane.”

That probe ultimately led to the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who spent nearly two years investigating the allegations but found no evidence of criminal collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russian actors.

President Trump, along with current Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, has publicly called for a full federal investigation into the origins of Crossfire Hurricane.

Both have maintained that the probe was politically motivated and driven by partisan operatives within the federal government.

Trump has consistently asserted that the purpose of the Russia probe was to delegitimize his presidency and obstruct his ability to carry out his first-term agenda.

“The American people deserve to know who was behind the creation and perpetuation of the Russia collusion hoax,” Trump said in a recent statement.

“This was a treasonous and seditious conspiracy against the presidency and the will of the people.”

Despite renewed scrutiny of key Obama-era figures, legal experts note that Barack Obama himself is unlikely to face charges.

A 2024 U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the limits of criminal liability for official presidential acts has reinforced legal immunity for former presidents when acting within the scope of their official duties.

The grand jury’s formation follows multiple public disclosures and prior investigations into the conduct of the FBI and intelligence agencies during the 2016 election cycle and early months of the Trump administration.

Those efforts included the review of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant applications and the use of confidential sources targeting individuals associated with the Trump campaign.

No timeline has been provided for the grand jury’s proceedings, and the Justice Department has not released public statements confirming the identities of any targets or the scope of the investigation.

This latest development adds a new dimension to the ongoing fallout from the now-debunked allegations of Trump-Russia collusion.
