UK DOGE’s FoI Unit has discovered that last financial year Ofcom spent £202,217 on Welsh language translation services. It does not have an in-house team: “We contract out Welsh language requirements to third parties, however colleagues in our Wales office are able to provide short translations in Welsh as part of their roles, as required.” £2.66 per year for every Welsh speaker…
