Ohio State Bans Dave Portnoy From Stadium: REPORT

And this is why college football rivalries are some of the greatest things ever.

Dave Portnoy, the president of Barstool Sports and alumni of the University of Michigan, has been banned by Ohio State from being able to enter Ohio Stadium, according to a report from Front Office Sports (FOS). The Buckeyes face off against the Texas Longhorns in their season-opening game Saturday.

Portnoy will still be making his debut for Fox’s “Big Noon Saturday,” but he will not be doing the show from inside the Buckeyes‘ stadium, per FOS who was told this information by a source.

“The Barstool College Football Show, which on a number of occasions will lead into Big Noon, will no longer run as Barstool previously planned, a source said. In announcing the partnership, Fox said that the Barstool show will be on the road with Big Noonfor ‘select’ dates,” per the FOS report. The chatter around Portnoy being banned started up Monday on Columbus radio after former Ohio State linebacker Bobby Carpenter revealed to his audience that there were a lot of angry people within the university that weren’t fans of having a loud-mouthed Michigan alum in “The Shoe.”

There’s a legitimate conversation going if Big Noon thinks they’re finishing their show inside the Horseshoe. Dave Portnoy is not welcome,” said Carpenter.

Pure hatred … just pure hatred … damn, I love this sport.
