Oregon Duck Mascot Loses Its Head After Wiping Out Prior To Season Opener Against Montana State

LMAO … what the hell happened here?

With college football back, and thank the good Lord for that, things get busy for programs. But it’s not just the players who are busy, it’s not just coaches, it’s not just staffers, it’s also the individuals who take the prestigious role of being their college mascot.

But like Arch Manning against Ohio State, which is a whole blog in itself, mascots have bad days too. This includes legendary ones such as the Oregon Duck, and boy oh boy, was it bad prior to the team’s season opener taking on Montana State. Now don’t get me wrong, the Ducks stomped the Bobcats into the ground, 59-13. But if you’re the mascot, you have to be feeling a little sick despite the beatdown because it’s their responsibility to lead the charge of energy towards a victory. The duck, who I consider to be one of the greatest mascots in college football history, played zero part in that today.

Now, it’s not exactly clear what happened, but I’m guessing that the duck came running out of the tunnel like a madman before taking a fall flat on his face. And that’s due to the Big Ten Network cutting right to the mascot in that position, and not just that, but he also lost his head.

And wait until you see his reaction in the aftermath:

An honorable mention goes out to the guy who picked up the duck’s head and absolutely took off … did y’all see that impressive sprint?!
