Owner of Tiny Variety Store Convicted of Trafficking $7 Million in Food Stamp Benefits – Twitchy

The FBI reports that the owner of a variety store that occupied approximately 150 square feet trafficked nearly $7 million in SNAP benefits. Antonio Bonheur, 74, at his guilty plea, “agreed to forfeit nearly $400,000 in fraudulently obtained proceeds that were seized during the investigation.”

The FBI also notes in its statement, “Jesula Variety Store also sold MannaPack meals, a donated food product manufactured by the nonprofit Feed My Starving Children. These meals are paid for entirely by charitable donations intended for shipment and distribution to food-insecure children overseas and are never authorized for retail sale. Bonheur sold donated MannaPack meals in his store for approximately $8 per package, profiting from food intended for humanitarian relief.”

Feeding Our Future, Feed My Starving Children… all scams.

The post continues:

… & food offerings, we found its monthly Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) redemption volume outpaced full-service supermarkets. Bonheur also sold donations intended for the nonprofit Feed My Starving Children.

Apparently, he’s originally from Haiti. He probably has Temporary Protected Status.
