My kids go absolutely bananas over “Bluey,” so I can just imagine this kind of situation.
Hunter Renfrow, a wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers, was released from the team Aug. 26. However, only a few days later, the franchise re-signed him, but the 29-year-old nearly lost out on the repeated shot.
Originally, it looked like Renfrow was going to make Carolina‘s 53-man roster due to being a slot weapon, but the Panthers made the move to cut him after competing for a spot in the spring and summer.
When Renfrow was back with the team Monday, he had a chat with reporters and ended up revealing a very cute story (because at the end of the day, it all worked out) involving his daughter. And what did she do exactly? (RELATED: Taylor Swift Aims To Destroy College Football The Way She Did NFL)
She made dad miss multiple calls from Panthers staffers and his agent letting him know that Carolina wanted him back. Eek.
Renfrow said that she was watching “Bluey” on his phone, turning away calls while having the phone in Do Not Disturb mode.
“I guess I had like 10 missed phone calls from Dan [Morgan], Dave [Canales], my agent — and they’re all just ignored. My daughter was watching Bluey or something, and she ignored all of them,” admitted Renfrow to the press while laughing.
