Peter Doocy announces birth of his baby son

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy announced Thursday that he and his wife, Hillary Vaughn, welcomed their second child, George Jack Doocy.

After spending 30 hours in labor, Vaughn gave birth to her 8 pound, 11 ounce baby on April 16, the couple’s 4th wedding anniversary, Doocy said on X. The couple also has a daughter, 2-year-old Bridget Blake Doocy, who they welcomed February 2023.

“Meet George Jack Doocy! Born after 30 hours of @hillary__vaughn labor at 8lb, 11oz and 20.5”- on our 4th wedding anniversary. So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you!” Doocy said.

Vaughn, who works as a Capitol Hill correspondent for Fox Business, said she was on Capitol Hill reporting on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for Tax Day when she headed to her routine OB-GYN appointment, where she learned that George was “ready to come out,” People first reported.

“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes. I don’t blame him!” Vaughn told People.

Doocy added that Bridget was excited to sing “Happy Birthday” to her new brother, according to People.

Doocy’s father, “Fox and Friends” co-host Steve Doocy, said he is looking forward to spoiling his grandson, according to People.

“But what I see beyond that is the unconditional love that the kids show to their grandparents and vice versa,” Steve Doocy said. “Little do they know as a grandparent, my job is to spoil them rotten the rest of their lives.”
