Police have arrested a man who allegedly provided military grade bionic face shields to rioters during the violence in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles FBI Field Office arrested Alejandro Theodoro Orellana this morning on an allegation of Conspiracy to Commit Civil Disorders for allegedly distributing face shields to rioters on Tuesday. (RELATED: Meet The Criminal Illegal Migrants LA’s Rioting Over)
“We are moving quickly to identify and arrest those involved in organizing and/or supporting civil disorder in Los Angeles,” U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli posted to X.

“It appears they’re well-orchestrated and coordinated and well-funded, so we want to understand who these people are and where these organizations are coming from,” Essayli told FOX
Orellana’s arrest could potentially lead to more information about the groups who are funding the riots in Los Angeles, Orellana is an alleged member of the Brown Berets, a Chicano nationalist paramilitary organization with left-wing ties. Chicano youth founded the Brown Berets in Los Angeles, and modeled it after the Black Panther Party. The group has long been known for anti-police activism.
People arrived in downtown Los Angeles with bionic face shields, according to Newsweek.
Bionic face shields cost around $60 each, and protect the head and neck from flying debris and chemical splashes.

Orellana’s arrest comes as rumors circle about the groups who are allegedly funding rioters in Los Angeles. Republican Sen. Josh Hawley has opened investigations into several organizations that have been accused of funding the riots, including the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Union del Barrio, and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.
