Police Release Shocking Bodycam Footage Of Jay Cutler’s Arrest

Police released body camera footage showing the October 2024 arrest of Jay Cutler on charges of DUI and gun possession.

What began as a seemingly routine crash scene in Franklin, Tennessee, suddenly took an unexpected turn.

The video showed officers responding to a minor collision, and they asked Cutler to exchange his insurance and driver’s license with the other driver after he allegedly rear-ended his vehicle.

An officer that responded to the fender-bender asked Cutler how much he had been drinking, and the NFL star eventually admitted he had a “little bit” to drink.

The situation escalated quickly.

The police officer acted immediately, informing Cutler he was under arrest as he handcuffed the NFL star on-scene.

Cutler did not resist arrest, but he seemed baffled by the series of events that unfolded as the officer patted him down and took him into custody.

A law enforcement source told TMZ that tests determined Cutler allegedly had a 0.23 blood-alcohol content percentage, which is nearly three times the legal limit of 0.08. The famous athlete was booked into the Williamson County Jail and posted a $5,000 bond, according to the outlet.

Cutler struck a plea deal with prosecutors in August and was sentenced to four days in jail for his misdemeanor DUI, as well as a year of supervised probation and a $350 fine. His Tennessee license was suspended for 12 months.

Cutler served barely more than two days of his four-day sentence.
