Police Reportedly Arrest Nickelodeon Child Star Chris O’Neal — Then Release Him

Police reportedly arrested Nickelodeon Star Chris O’Neal in relation to a burglary case in Malibu, California, and later released him.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ deputies answered a burglary call March 16 at 5:45 a.m. after a caller told police they saw three adults inside a residence on security camera video. Police were told suspects gained entry to the residence from its rear of the home, and messed with the cameras so that the caller was unable to track their actions on camera after initially spotting them, the sources alleged.

O’Neal, most famous for his role as Kevin Reed in Nickelodeon’s “How to Rock,” was reportedly among the suspects police arrested. Sources said police booked the 31-year-old actor into the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station jail and later released the afternoon of March 17 due to “insufficient grounds to file a complaint against that person,” according to TMZ.

The identities of the other individuals reportedly arrested in relation to the incident were not publicly disclosed. Authorities did not clarify the sequence of events that unfolded after the cameras were allegedly disabled, according to Complex. O’Neal’s acting career included credits in “Greenhouse Academy,” “You Gotta See This” and several others.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet that the investigation remains active.
