It has been nearly seven months since the Democrats were forced to watch President Donald Trump win the election and they keep proving they have learned absolutely nothing.
One might think that such a resounding loss would force the party to engage in some soul-searching and present an opportunity to bring their members up to speed on how to appeal to the average American voter. Instead, the Democrats have made what feels like every wrong choice since November 5, continuing to set themselves further behind their Republican counterparts.
For example, the “anti-Trump fan fiction” from Politico detailing a “shadow cabinet” that can “refresh” the party’s brand and help it take back power.
The anti-Trump fan-fiction is getting out of hand.
The media wants Democrats to create a “shadow Cabinet” to respond to Trump and they’re floating Mary Barra for Energy, Jon Stewart for VA, Gisele Fetterman for DHS, Ben Stein for SBA, and Samantha Power for State.

The majority voted for Trump’s agenda.
Are democrats trying to thwart the American people?
If Republicans suggested this they’d be screaming about threats to democracy and fascism.
But it’s (D)ifferent when they do it?
This is why we rejected them.
They’re just greedy frauds.— Natalie C (@Freespreakme) May 27, 2025
Well, they’re used to shadow-government. They had a shadow-president for 4 years, run by a shadow staff
