Pope Leo XIV Meets No. 1-Ranked Jannik Sinner In Quite Ironic Situation

A pope met a Sinner! The irony!

When it comes to Pope Leo XIV, there’s no doubt that he’s come across a lot of sinners in his life, we all have! But none of them compare to No. 1-ranked Jannik Sinner.

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen! The pope met with a top-ranked Sinner!

The new pope, who is gloriously American, is a huge sports fan. Not only is he a big Chicago White Sox supporter, but he also graduated from Villanova, so you already know it’s all about Nova! And come to find out, he’s also a tennis player, and a pretty big one at that! (RELATED: Gamblers Walk Away With Ridiculous Amount Of Money After Betting On Next Pope)

So it’s not surprising that he ended up meeting the top-ranked tennis player, though the Sinner irony makes it completely hilarious! Sinner met Pope Leo in Vatican City.

Per the Associated Press, Leo was asked recently about potentially being in a charity tennis match, and he said that he was open to the idea. He also jokingly said “we can’t invite Sinner.”

Funny enough, Sinner had an off-day Wednesday from the Italian Open, so he decided to go to the Vatican to see the pope. He was joined with his family, as well as Italian Tennis Federation President Alberto Binaghi.

Such a cool story! This pope is so great!
