Pro-Hamas Activists Physically Dragged Out of Colorado Classroom [WATCH]

A protest at the University of Colorado Boulder escalated last week when a group of pro-Palestinian student activists disrupted a classroom and were physically removed by individuals present in the room, according to campus and local reports.

The incident occurred during a “Designing for Defense” course, a class that collaborates with the U.S. military on defense-related projects.

According to The Daily Camera, three activists entered the classroom with the intent to read a prepared statement criticizing the university’s ties to military research and its alleged connection to Israel’s military operations in Gaza.

As one of the activists attempted to speak, a man identified as the course instructor interrupted, stating, “No, you may not,” before seizing the statement and directing the students to leave.

The situation escalated when two men — one of whom, The Daily Camera reported, did not appear to be a university employee or student — forcibly removed the protesters from the classroom.

A video of the incident was later posted on the Instagram account of “Buffs 4 Palestine,” a student group that organized the demonstration.

In their statement accompanying the video, the group claimed that “two students were violently assaulted by a CU Boulder professor for interrupting a Designing for Defense class, a course that directly collaborates with the U.S. military to develop weapons and surveillance tools while the Israeli regime carries out a U.S.-funded genocide in Gaza.”

The group also stated that “their action was not only justified, it was morally necessary.”

In the same statement, Buffs 4 Palestine issued several demands in response to the incident.

These include a call for the immediate cancellation of the Designing for Defense course, the university’s full divestment from Israel and all arms manufacturers, an end to cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and a public condemnation of the physical removal of the activists from the classroom.

As of this writing, the University of Colorado Boulder has not issued a formal public response regarding the protest or the removal of the activists.

The confrontation is the latest in a series of campus demonstrations tied to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Protests have been reported at multiple universities nationwide, as students and faculty debate the role of U.S. academic institutions in international conflicts, military research, and global political issues.

The incident at CU Boulder follows heightened tensions on campuses where students aligned with Palestinian advocacy groups have increasingly staged walkouts, sit-ins, and classroom interruptions to demand institutional changes.

While many of these protests have remained peaceful, some have resulted in disciplinary action or removal from campus facilities.

The Designing for Defense course is part of a Department of Defense-backed academic initiative, operating at several universities across the country.
