Acting United States Attorney Bill Essayli announced on Thursday that a federal grand jury has indicted a Paramount man for allegedly throwing pieces of cinderblock at Border Patrol officers last June.
Jacob Daniel Terrazas, 30, was charged with one count of assault on a federal employee by using a deadly and dangerous weapon resulting in bodily injury after striking an officer during a protest against immigration enforcement that turned into a riot.
“A federal grand jury has indicted Jacob Daniel Terrazas, 30, of Paramount, for injuring a Border Patrol officer during an anti-ICE riot on June 7,” Essayli said in a post shared on X. “After repeatedly throwing pieces of cinderblock at law enforcement, officers detained Terrazas, who now faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted. We will not stand by while our brave officers get hurt. If you’re thinking of injuring an officer or agent enforcing immigration law, think again. It’s not worth it.”

As noted above, Terrazas is looking at up to 20 years behind bars for his alleged violent actions — he is scheduled to go to trial on September 23.
Social media users had zero sympathy for the radical extremist — here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
I believe we’ve forgotten what it is like to witness law and order. It almost seems foreign.
But here we have someone committing a crime, being apprehended, charged, and indicted. Now lock him up.

Throw the ever loving book at him and send a message to all those who think they can get away with interfering with @ice @cbp or any other law enforcement officer in the process of enforcing the law.
Most Americans are absolutely sick of it! pic.twitter.com/17qho5FxqQ

Now you can only hope he doesn’t get some bleeding heart soft on crime leftist Soros judge to give him a slap on the wrist.

Thank you sir! It’s blessing that the ROL still works in America because of the men and women of ICE, and DOJ working hard on behalf of its law abiding citizens.
