Legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino revealed which of his movies are his “favorite” and which is the “ultimate Quentin movie.”
Tarantino weighed in on his best flicks during an expansive Aug. 15 interview on “The Church of Tarantino” podcast, and he spoke about which of his movies he felt most passionately connected to.
“‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ is my favorite, ‘Inglourious Basterds’ is my best,” the two-time Oscar winner declared.

The distinction in his ratings was even more precise when he said, “But I think ‘Kill Bill’ is the ultimate Quentin movie, like nobody else could’ve made it.”
Tarantino provided a more in-depth explanation of his feelings about the creative elements in “Kill Bill.”
“Every aspect about it is so particularly ripped, like with tentacles and bloody tissue, from my imagination and my id and my loves and my passion and my obsession,” Tarantino said.
“So I think ‘Kill Bill’ is the movie I was born to make, I think ‘Inglourious Basterds’ is my masterpiece, but ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ is my favorite,” he continued.

Tarantino then turned his attention to his screenplays as he evaluated how his movies stacked up.
The “Pulp Fiction” director then picked his favorite and best from his screenplays.
“I think ‘Inglourious Basterds’ is my best script, and I think ‘Hateful Eight’ and ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’ are right behind,” he said.
“But, there’s an aspect of ‘Hateful Eight’ that I actually think is probably my best directing of my material,” Tarantino said, before saying that he felt “the material is written and it’s solid. ”

“So it’s not like I have to create it, like ‘Kill Bill,’ it’s solid, it’s right there and I actually think it’s my best servicing [of] my material as a director.” (RELATED: George Clooney Drops F-Bomb In Response To Quentin Tarantino Saying He Has No Star Power)
Tarantino’s tenth and final film has not yet been decided, but the famous filmmaker made it clear he passed on “The Adventures of Cliff Booth” because the prospect of his last movie being a sequel “unenthused” him.
