Rapper Tom MacDonald’s song honoring Charlie Kirk #1 on US iTunes – others join chorus

A tribute to Charlie Kirk has hit number one on iTunes as America mourns the slain conservative icon who was assassinated during an event on the campus at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, another bloody example of the left-wing political violence that is sweeping the country.

Rapper Tom MacDonald’s heartfelt tribute to Kirk titled “Charlie” shot up the charts after its release, one of numerous other tributes to the 31-year-old whose true influence on the culture is only now being realized.

“Shot down and he was barely thirty-one. Another woke coward took a life with a gun. He left behind a wife and a daughter and a son. All he did was try to speak for all of us,” MacDonald sings. “And I’m so tired of the hatred and the narratives. The patriots ain’t dangerous, woke people are the terrorists. They shot and killed the father, sent a message to Americans. They ain’t gonna stop until they bury us.”

“We ain’t backing off or giving up, I’ll preach what you taught me. They may have killed a soldier, but that man had an army. This is far more deep than some political parties. And you can’t kill freedom so this one is for Charlie,” the song continues.

In the second verse, MacDonald sings, “Killed in cold blood for having a discussion. And liberals are celebrating murder like it’s justice. You didn’t kill a villain or the evil that it comes with. You killed a father and a husband. And I’m so tired of the left and all the wokery. We can’t get along if you just kill us when we don’t agree. Sniper rifle fire from a liberal that no one sees. Scared I might be next to die when I’m just buying groceries.”

All of the proceeds from the song will go to Kirk’s wife Erika and their two young children who were deprived of the joy of growing up with their loving father by a hate-filled leftist.

In a post to X, MacDonald noted that “Charlie” is also the top song on YouTube.

“I wish I didn’t have to write this song…but it needed to exist…and #1 is its rightful place,” he wrote. “And to be clear – it has very little to do with me. It has everything to do with Charlie Kirk and the incredible impact that he has had on generations of people.”

More songs about Kirk are being recorded and put out as other patriots join the chorus in honor of the fallen hero and his message of hope.

“This ain’t the America that all our parents loved. But good men tried to keep making it great. Pray that God will take care of us, the system is failing us. When good men die for the things that they say,” MacDonald sings. “And I can’t just be quiet. So I gotta be brave. Cause this is America, lately it’s scaring us. But one good man can change it all in a day.”
