Reform councillor Laila Cunningham said she is “very sceptical” about former Tory minister Nadine Dorries’ defection to Reform. Speaking to Talk TV from Reform conference, Cunningham didn’t hold back:
“I’m highly sceptical. She was, after all, the author of the online safety bill — something Reform and I are firmly against. And let’s not forget, she was Health Minister in 2020 and a major champion of lockdowns. Those lockdowns wreaked financial and economic havoc and, frankly, tore up the fabric of our country. So yes, I remain very, very sceptical.”
Meanwhile, hacks are rolling into the Reform conference, facing long queues and a shortage of plug sockets. Big speeches are expected later this afternoon…
