Police allegedly found Grammy-Nominated singer Jubilant Sykes butchered to death in his Los Angeles home Monday, and they have reportedly arrested his son.
Police said they responded to an “assault in progress” call Monday night at the Santa Monica residence after an unidentified person dialed 911 for help, TMZ reported. The caller directed them inside the home where they allegedly located Sykes with “critical injuries consistent with a stabbing,” the outlet reported. He later died on-scene.
Police claimed Sykes’ 31-year-old son, Micah, was inside the home and arrested in connection with the murder. He was later booked into the Los Angeles County jail for suspicion of murder, where he is being held on $2 million bail, the outlet reported.

The Santa Monica Police Department will hand over the case over to Los Angeles prosecutors, and they will decide whether or not to move forward with criminal charges, TMZ reported. Authorities have not released a motive for the alleged attack. The circumstances leading up to the allegedly fatal stabbing have not been disclosed.
