A second U.S. Air Force aircraft reportedly crashed in region around Iran on Friday and the pilot and sole crew member was rescued, U.S. officials anonymously said.
The two U.S. officials told The New York Times that an A-10 Warthog crashed in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz around when the F-15E was reportedly lost over Iran, The New York Times reported. The officials spoke anonymously to address operational issues, according to the outlet. Officials did not provide significant details about the incident, including the exact cause and location.
