Republicans Are Going to Lose the Midterms if They Keep This Up: Carl Higbie [WATCH]

Newsmax host Carl Higbie criticized Republican leadership for what he described as a failure to hold individuals accountable for major controversies, warning that voter enthusiasm will continue to decline unless lawmakers take decisive legislative and judicial action.

Higbie made the remarks during a segment in which he argued that Republicans have repeatedly failed to follow through on promises to address corruption, COVID-era policies, and high-profile political scandals.

“Everyone’s, oh, this is the most important election. No, the most important election of our lifetimes from here on out, is the next one, okay, and then the one after that, and then the one after that,” Higbie said.

“And if Republicans don’t make these things into law and get this through their head, they’re going to lose, and Republicans are going to sit there in the minor excluding what we didn’t have turnout.”

Higbie questioned why Republican voters should remain motivated, directing his criticism at House Speaker Mike Johnson.

“The better question is Mike Johnson, why would we show up to vote?” Higbie said.

“You haven’t thrown a single person in jail.”

He cited what he described as a lack of accountability related to COVID-19 policies.

“There’s no accountability for covid, and New York Dems ran the guy who literally stopped elderly patients into retirement homes with covid and killed people,” Higbie said.

“They blocked meds that would save have saved lives. They shut down schools. They forced people to get a vaccine against their will, who then got heart conditions, and nothing happened.”

Higbie also criticized federal officials over the origins of COVID-19 and related controversies.

“And they lied about it coming from some dude that it was in a wet alligator bat in a wet market, while Fauci and his cabal were killing beagles and funding the Wuhan coronavirus lab and expected us to believe that it didn’t come from a lab in Wuhan named coronavirus,” he said.

Higbie said no one has been held accountable for investigations and censorship controversies.

“No one in jail for russiagate, for censorship,” he said.

“Not one of the 51 former Intel officials have told us that Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian plant.”

He continued by referencing Hunter Biden.

“It actually does turn out that Hunter Biden was, in fact, smoking, cracking bathtubs with hookers,” Higbie said.

Higbie criticized what he described as prosecutorial failures involving other political figures.

“You failed to indict Leticia James for like the third time today, because you did it wrong the first time,” he said.

“Still haven’t charged Adam Schiff for the same mortgage fraud looks like James Comey is probably going to get off scot free.”

He contrasted those outcomes with Republican support for foreign spending.

“And the best the Republicans can do is here. Here’s 800 million more dollars for Ukraine,” Higbie said.

Higbie said voter enthusiasm will drop if President Donald Trump is not on the ballot.

“Why the hell would Republicans be excited to vote if Trump’s not on the ballot,” he said.

He argued Republicans should pursue mass prosecutions for corruption.

“You want to keep your majority, throw 100 people in jail for political corruption and all the corruption that Doge uncovered, none of those people are in jail,” Higbie said.

Higbie also criticized state-level Republicans.

“That’s like low hanging fruit, including everybody involved with the auto pen primary, all the 21 state senators in Indiana who just voted with Democrats to oppose congressional redistricting for their own party, they essentially just gave up two seats,” he said.

He called for sweeping legislative changes.

“Abolish the filibuster and just start getting stuff done,” Higbie said.

“Give us nationwide reciprocity. Abolish the income tax.”

He went further, calling for the elimination of the IRS.

“Bob while you’re at it, let’s deep six the IRS,” Higbie said.

“And then you can sell the building, or drone strike it, or do whatever you want, so nobody can come back to it.”

Higbie also addressed immigration and refugee policy.

“And then you can tell the Muslims seeking refugee status in it to do it in the 56 surrounding Muslim countries that they have, rather than here, so we don’t have to pay their benefits,” he said.

Higbie concluded by saying aggressive action would energize voters.

“You do that, you’ll gain seats. Now. We’ll have 300 seat majority,” he said. “People like me will be excited to go out and vote, because we’re not right now.”

He said failure to act would have electoral consequences.

“Because if you do that stuff, man, Mike, I’m telling you, I will legit run through a wall like the Kool Aid, dude, to get to the polls,” Higbie said. “But if you don’t, you’ll lose.”
