Rob Reiner’s Cause Of Death Revealed

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner died from “multiple sharp force injuries.”

The medical examiner made the announcement three days after the beloved Hollywood director and his wife were found dead inside their home, according to TMZ. The medical examiner confirmed their cause of death was homicide.

Their son, Nick, is currently held behind bars on two charges of first-degree murder.

The couple’s daughter, Romy, found her parents deceased in their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home Sunday, and reportedly identified her brother Nick as a “dangerous” potential suspect in the case, according to TMZ.

Nick Reiner appeared in court Wednesday wearing a suicide prevention smock and shackles, The Associated Press reported. He did not issue a plea. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said he could face a life sentence and possible death penalty if convicted, according to TNND.

Reiner and Michele’s children, Romy and Jake, issued a joint statement Dec. 17 to TMZ. “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day,” they said.

“The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends,” they said.
