ROOKE: The Left’s Favorite Wine Mom Encapsulates Their Suicide Pact

Failed reality TV star Jennifer Welch’s podcast is a favorite content hub for the left. And it’s become the perfect mascot for everything that has gone catastrophically wrong with the American left.

Beneath the cackling, the F-bombs, and the performative solidarity with every fashionable victim group lies a worldview that is morally inverted, historically illiterate, and ultimately suicidal for the civilization it claims to defend.

Welch, originally from Texas, made her name as an Oklahoma suburban mom ranting about motherhood and related cultural topics with her cohost, Angie Sullivan, on their podcast, I’ve Had It. Shortly before the 2024 election, they stopped complaining about driving their kids to soccer practice. Instead, the two, clearly led by Welch, turned their podcast into a radical left political show, inviting guests on like former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Kamala Harris, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, New York Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, and far-left influencer Hasan Piker.

Changing the course of their podcast turned out to be a smart move, as their listenership and notoriety exploded. But mainly for Welch, as Sullivan’s main job seems to be nodding in agreement to all of Welch’s insane beliefs. (Sign up for Mary Rooke’s weekly newsletter here!)

Welch has celebrated political violence, including cheering the murder of Charlie Kirk, and urged fellow Democrats to adopt violent rhetoric to stay culturally relevant. She’s crossed a line that used to be sacred, but because she aligns with Democrats, she was rewarded. A conservative who giggled at the hypothetical murder of a leftist would be deplatformed by sunrise, yet Welch is invited on CNN and praised as the left’s Joe Rogan.

Welch also lobbed smears at Stephen and Katie Miller, calling him a Nazi Jew and later attaching the insult to Katie, all because Stephen Miller believes in securing the border.

Still, the issues with Welch are deeper than the inflammatory content she uses to drive her podcast listeners. It’s her open contempt for American whites from the heartland, which she calls “crusty white people,” and her insistence that America has no culture except multiculturalism.

Like many left-wing wine moms, she believes that our nation is an original sin requiring constant atonement. Gratitude, continuity, and organic social cohesion are dismissed as bigotry, xenophobia, and fascism. The logical endpoint of their worldview is a rootless society in which the only permissible identity is perpetual grievance. While they believe this leads to liberation, what we get is civilizational suicide dressed up as compassion.

Welch is not an anomaly. She is the embodiment of the Obama-era left. She packages hatred of our country, its traditions, and faithful citizens in a shiny wrapper of left-wing resistance and allyship to anything and anyone who tears down our social cohesion. It is venom sold as virtue. (Every Parent Sees It: Adults And Children Are Out Of Control And It’s Because Of Our Low-Trust Society)

A movement that celebrates Welch and others like her admits, even if it’s subconsciously, that it has entered a large swath of our country into a suicide pact. It has traded moral clarity for clout, truth for subscribers, and the hard work of building a country for the easy dopamine hit of tearing one down.
