Rosie O’Donnell blames Trump for missing her daughter’s graduation

Rosie O’Donnell missed her daughter’s college graduation, and it’s all Donald Trump’s fault. Of course.

“My daughter graduated from college, and I didn’t go back because the security people said to me they didn’t think it was wise,” she said on the “No Filter” podcast this week.

“Because I think Trump will use me to rile his base,” O’Donnell said. “I’m his nemesis in his mind and to them … to like a third of the country,”

While O’Donnell’s very public and ongoing battle with President Trump has been contentious and entertaining, she gives herself far too much credit.

Trump has joked about revoking O’Donnell’s U.S. citizenship after she deported herself to Ireland, calling her a “threat to humanity.”

But O’Donnell insists her move has been a “success.”

“People say to me, ‘Why do you still talk about [Trump] and the country if you left?’ Well, I never gave up my citizenship, nor would I, although I’m getting my dual citizenship to become an Irish citizen as well, because my grandparents are from Ireland,” she told podcast host Kate Langbroek.

“I care about my country. I love my country. I am very patriotic, and I knew that I would not be able to deal with what was about to happen, and it certainly has,” O’Donnell continued.

“I think the United States is in serious trouble at this point,” she said, citing Trump’s move to deploy National Guard troops in blue crime-ridden cities, but where O’Donnell claims there’s “no unrest, there are no insurrections, where there is not mass violence.”

She also claimed that Trump is afraid of strong women, like her.

“[Trump is] afraid of smart, informed, strong women,” she said.

“I think that everything he says indicts him, and strong women are his kryptonite. He falls apart,” she said. “I think that strong women scare him and infuriate him, and I’m one of them,” O’Donnell said.

Rosie, please take a look in the mirror. Trump is not one who deported himself to Ireland.
