A Rutgers University official is trying to get two of the school’s Turning Point USA chapter officers removed because they exposed one of the school’s extremist professors.
The officers, Treasurer Megyn Doyle and Outreach Coordinator Ava Kwan, committed the apparent sin of exposing Rutgers professor Mark Bray and his ties to the leftist extremist group known as Antifa, according to Fox News.
In 2017, Emily Zanotti of The Daily Wire described Bray as the “public face” of the domestic terror group.
“[H]e’s the guy that does all the high-profile interviews, and tries to defend sucker punching defenseless people in the name of anti-fascism to cable news talking heads and Very Serious Journalists who want to know why Antifa insists on being so gosh darned violent,” she reported.
He’s also the author of the official Antifa handbook:

Earlier this month, Doyle launched a petition calling for Bray to be fired.
“With the current trend of left-wing terrorism, having a prominent leader of the Antifa movement on campus is a threat to conservative students on campus,” the petition reads.
“Dr. Bray has regularly referred to mainstream conservative figures such as Bill O’Reilly as fascist, while he calls for militant actions to be taken against these individuals. This is the kind of rhetoric that resulted in Charlie Kirk being assassinated last month,” it continues.
After the petition was launched, both Doyle and Kwan spoke about it with Fox News.
“After seeing this assassination [of Charlie Kirk], someone who has promoted political violence, having him employed here, it’s scary,” Kwan said. “It’s really scary, and we want to try to draw as much attention to his involvement with Antifa to help protect, you know, our academic freedom. Freedom of speech on campus.”
UPDATE: Turning Point USA at Rutgers University is demanding an ANTIFA professor be FIRED – and the professor has now fled the US
“We do NOT want our taxpayer money funding Antifa professors! It’s not right, it shouldn’t be happening.”

All this evidently upset Karima Woodyard, Rutgers’ director for student involvement and leadership.
In an email obtained by Fox News, Woodyard wrote to Rutgers TPUSA chapter leaders, demanding that Doyle and Kwan both be removed from their posts in the organization. Why? Allegedly, because they suddenly weren’t eligible to serve in the posts.
“I wanted to bring to your attention that Megyn is a Newark student and Ava is a graduate student,” Woodyard wrote. “Because your organization is classified as an undergraduate student organization for the New Brunswick campus, both individuals are ineligible to hold executive board positions within your group.”
“Please proceed with holding elections for those positions in accordance with your organization’s constitution to ensure compliance with university and student organization policies. Please let me know when this is done,” she added.
Doyle and Kwan both strongly believe this request from Woodyard was politically motivated and retributive.
“Based on the timing of this investigation, this reads as a weaponization of procedure against Megyn and I as a result of our public opposition to self-proclaimed Antifa affiliate, Mark Bray,” Kwan said.
“We have requested transparency from the Rutgers administration as to who ordered this investigation into our chapter and why. We were never alerted to any issues with our office holding until now. Rather than address our concerns publicly and transparently, Rutgers appears to have resorted to collegiate lawfare to silence us,” she added.
This scandal comes shortly after another Rutgers professor signed a petition demanding the school’s Turning Point USA chapter be abolished.

The only potential good news is that Rutgers president William F. Tate purports to be a free speech enthusiast.
“Protecting free speech, as we do at Rutgers, does not mean endorsing every view expressed on campus,” he wrote in a recent op-ed for NJ.com. “It means defending the right to express those views, confident that through open exchange and inquiry, better arguments will prevail.”
