Saudis Roll Out Mobile McDonald’s Truck To Welcome Trump For State Visit

Video posted Tuesday shows a mobile McDonald’s parked outside in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the same day as President Donald Trump’s visit to the country.

Mike Wagenheim, a senior U.S. correspondent for i24NEWS, shared the video of the iconic American fast-food brand.

Riyadh has a history with the chain and Trump has had many iconic moments with McDonald’s, including during his last election cycle. He worked behind the counter at a Pennsylvania location in October and promised that his reelection would ensure the infamously unreliable ice cream machines would work again.

It appears that the mobile unit was set up for reporters covering the president.

Wagenheim said the mobile McDonald’s unit was placed outside the Saudi Media Ministry’s Media Oasis facility, which provides workspaces for media and serves as a hub for journalists visiting the area for important occasions, such as Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

Trump has generally maintained a friendly relationship with Saudi Arabia and will try to land a $1 trillion investment deal with the country during his visit. (RELATED: Mark Halperin Says Trump Wants Three Things ‘On Vivid Display’ During Mideast Tour)

Trump is also set to visit the United Arab Emirates and Qatar on his trip to the Middle East, where he expects to make many economic and business deals that would mirror the peace deals from Trump’s visit to the region during his first administration.

While in Saudi Arabia, Trump announced Tuesday that he will send Secretary of State Marco Rubio to speak with Ukraine and Russia in Turkey on Thursday.
