Scottie Scheffler Gets Even More Iconic As His Pro Fishing Team Wins Championship In Cabo

This is pretty damn cool.

Scottie Scheffler, ranked the No. 1 golfer on the planet, only knows winning, winning, and well, winning. And it’s not just coming on the course.

Come to find out, Scheffler has his own professional fishing team called the Texas Lone Stars Angling Club, and crazy enough, they just won the inaugural Sport Fishing Championship in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. And to make it even more impressive, the title comes after the team suffered two consecutive finishes in last place. Talk about a turnaround! Talking after the victory, Scheffler rained down praise on his team, saying, “I could not be more proud of the club for winning the season championship in our inaugural year of competition,” per BroBible.

“It is a testament to their talent and determination to overcome the pressure of the moment, and for their resilience to overcome a tough start to the season to even be in the hunt. There’s no ‘quit’ in this team,” added Scheffler, per the outlet.

Man, it’s cool in itself to see an angler win some kind of individual championship. Scheffler won a fishing title by owning a team and being a future PGA legend. I’ve always liked Scottie, but damn, this just adds to his icon status.
