When I met with Pete Hegseth in early December ahead of his confirmation to be our Secretary of Defense, I asked him one simple question: Are you going to have the backs of our warfighters? His answer was an unequivocal yes.
The Biden Administration left our armed forces in a state of disrepair. From the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that left 13 American servicemembers dead, to refusing to take a stand against terror groups who hate us, to using the military as a tool for social engineering instead of projecting American strength, Joe Biden and Lloyd Austin’s leadership decimated morale, recruitment, and readiness within the ranks of our warfighters.
One hundred days in, President Trump and Pete Hegseth have thankfully reversed that decline.
Since the American people made their choice to send President Trump back to the White House on November 5, our military has seen its highest recruiting in 30 years. There is no doubt that is thanks to the leadership of the president and Secretary Hegseth. (RELATED: 100 Days In, Here’s How Trump Has Already Dismantled The Deep State)
Secretary Hegseth has followed through on the promises President Trump made to the American people, deploying nearly 12,000 troops to secure our southern border and rooting out waste at the Pentagon. He has eradicated woke initiatives that served to please the far-left instead of equip those on the front lines, and he has overseen a more than 30-day successful campaign against the Houthi rebels to restore freedom of navigation in the region.
Mr. Hegseth has crisscrossed the globe these last four months, meeting with senior military leadership, training with troops, and delivering one simple message on behalf of President Trump: the era of American weakness is over.

While each of these accomplishments deserves our praise as Americans, you probably would not be aware of them if you consume mainstream media.
Just as they did in President Trump’s first term, the “resistance” Democrats and their allies in the press have cooked up one fake scandal after the next, desperate to convince you that the world is falling apart with President Trump and his team in charge.
By the way, these same dishonest hacks had nothing to say when the Biden Administration abandoned our troops and allies in Afghanistan, left billions in equipment for the Taliban to parade around, and unleashed terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. As a combat veteran, who is married to a combat veteran, I’m grateful we have a Secretary of Defense who knows what life is like on the front lines, and who will unapologetically fight to ensure our men and women in uniform have the support and resources they need to come home safe.
The results of President Trump and Pete Hegseth’s first 100 days on the job speak for themselves. Recruitment is on the rise, terrorists are on the run, and, most importantly, our warfighters know they have a president and defense secretary who have their backs.
