The reported cause of death of Jeffrey Epstein’s most well-known accuser left more than a few people “highly skeptical.”
Only a few years after a settlement with Prince Andrew that itself had come in the wake of convicted sex offender Epstein’s high-profile suicide, accuser Virginia Giuffre reportedly took her own life. While family confirmed the cause and investigators expressed how early evidence made the case “not suspicious,” reactions online shared their doubts on the tragic end of the 41-year-old mother of three mere weeks after a reported vehicular crash and years after she herself had seemingly warned “many evil people want to see me [quieted].”
“It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,” came a statement from the family provided to NBC News. “She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”
“Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors. In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”
While specifics about the death of the woman who’d accused Prince Andrew of sexually assaulting her as a minor in connection with Epstein and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell were limited, a Western Australia Police Force spokesperson had informed the Daily Mail Australia that a call had been received that Giuffre was discovered unresponsive.
“Police and St John WA attended and provided emergency first-aid. Sadly, the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene,” detailed the spokesperson. “The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious.”
Further, the Mail had explained that, weeks after Giuffre had shared a bruised image of herself on social media following a crash with a bus that left her with renal failure and “four days to live,” visitors had reportedly come by the home earlier in the day.
Included were a man and a woman bringing desserts in a car believed to be owned by Giuffre’s husband who was not present. Robert Giuffre and the decedent had been in the midst of a contentious divorce.
A statement from Giuffre’s attorney, Sigrid McCawley, to NBC News read, “Virginia Giuffre was much more than a client to me, she was a dear friend.”
“Virginia’s sunny strength was contagious and her smile spread hope to so many. She lifted us all to be better, and so we must be better. The world has lost a light that shone bright,” added McCawley. “Rest in peace, my sweet angel.”
Meanwhile, social media users had turned to a 2019 post attributed to Giuffre that read, “I am making it publicly known that in no way, shape or form am I sucidal. I have made. this known to my therapist and GP- If something happens to me- in the sake of my family do not let this go away and help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me quiteted [sic].”
Given the oft-questioned circumstances around Epstein’s death and concerns over delayed justice for victims of the “Lolita Express,” social media users spoke up about what they considered a need for a closer look at the untimely death.
Virginia Giuffre publicly declared that she is not suicidal and warned that if anything happens to her, the people should ensure those responsible are held accountable and never forget their actions.

So Virginia Giuffre got hit by a bus and then took her own life weeks later?…
I am highly skeptical of this timeline and whether this occurred by her own hand…

So sad but I have so many questions

So let me get this straight.
Virginia Giuffre, (alleged) Jeffrey Epstein victim, survives a bus slam into her, despite being given just 4 days to live. Then, once she VALIANTLY claws her way back from the edge of death, now on the road to recovery, she suddenly commits suicide? pic.twitter.com/w24rTjJ5v2

After being suspiciously involved in a car crash that was never really explained, Epstein’s most damning accuser…Virginia Giuffre has supposedly committed suicide.
I believe she “killed herself” about as much as much as Epstein did. Oh, and where the hell is that client list? pic.twitter.com/0JWhhcdc5B

It’s heartbreaking and unfathomable that we live in a world where not one predator from the Epstein list has faced justice.
Rest in peace, Virginia Giuffre… you deserved so much better, and your courage will not be forgotten.
