Soccer legend Lionel Messi transcends being merely one of the world’s most renowned athletes, he ranks among the most famous figures in any field. It’s little wonder, then, that massive crowds turned out for his ongoing multi-day tour throughout India. It’s understandable why fans were profoundly outraged after they were unable to see him as much as they wanted, but still, it’s no reason to act like a bunch of buffoons like what you’re about to witness.

As reported by the Associated Press, the Argentine football icon is embarking on a “GOAT India Tour.” Messi, accompanied by his longtime teammates Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul, is scheduled to visit four cities across India: Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Well, hopefully, the remainder of this excursion proceeds more smoothly, given that the inaugural stop descended into outright chaos.

The tour arrived in Kolkata, where devoted fans endured hours of waiting for a chance to see Messi in person, with more than 100,000 cramming into the stadium.
