Despite Labour’s constant spin that it’s working hard towards getting “Britain building”, Starmer’s own MPs seem determined to obstruct any actual housing developments. The latest to join the blockers is 2024 Labour MP for Milton Keynes Emily Darlington. She’s blocking homes over ‘memories’…
An old cinema called The Point in Milton Keynes has been derelict for 10 years, and a property developer wants to build a 21-storey apartment block containing 487 flats on the site. Now the Labour-led council is seeking legal advice on challenging the planning appeal. Supporting the campaign against the development, Emily Darlington said:
“Though the site has fallen derelict in recent years, the complete demolition of The Point would be a considerable loss to our local heritage assets. It holds a special place in our new town story, and in the memories of those who moved to Milton Keynes in the early years.”
Block, baby, block….
