I couldn’t stand Aaron Rodgers as a New York Jet … I think I can get on board with this one.
When the organization made the move to trade for the quarterback in 2023, they had dreams of the exact kind of play that Rodgers delivered Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
But uh … well … there was just one major issue: He was on the opposing side with the Pittsburgh Steelers. (RELATED: Multiple NFL Games Disrupted By Bright Green Dildos)
When the 2023 season started, Rodgers tore his Achilles just four snaps into it, and then when we got to 2024, it was a struggle for the quarterback. As a result, the Jets decided to move in another direction at the QB position after they hired head coach Aaron Glenn here in 2025.
New York replaced Rodgers with Justin Fields, who had a solid performance Sunday for the Jets, but it was Rodgers and the Steelers who would take home the 34-32 victory. The 41-year-old was fantastic, lighting up the Jets defense to tally four touchdowns. Following the contest, he was questioned about whether or not he felt a level of happiness after defeating Glenn, who informed Rodgers that he was being cut, and QB8 gave an absolutely glorious response.
“I was happy to beat everybody associated with the Jets,” said Rodgers in his press conference after the game.
