Talk about bad luck.
I can just imagine the kind of conversations and eye-rolls that are going to happen when the Pittsburgh Steelers watch game film on this.
The six-time Super Bowl champions were in an intense home game against the Seattle Seahawks, with the latter taking a 17-14 lead at one point in the fourth quarter. After the Seattle score, their place kicker Jason Meyers went ahead and kicked off like normal, but the ball ended up taking some very awkward bounces to the end zone. The closest Steeler to the ball was running back Kaleb Johnson, but it ended up somersaulting right through his hands. With it appearing to go over him, he let it go into the end zone with the mindset that referees would just rule it a touchback. However, that didn’t happen. The zebras didn’t blow the whistle to kill the play, and the Seahawks took sweet advantage as running back George Holani sprinted down the field and scooped up the ball in the end zone.
And just like that, it was a touchdown for Seattle in probably the strangest score you’ll see here in Week 2.

Don’t feel bad, Pittsburgh. It was a bad day for my Florida teams too.
FINAL: Patriots 33, Dolphins 27
Dolphins drop to 0-2 in what could be a long season. Silver lining is great games from Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill.
However, Tagovailoa’s interception in crunch time won’t help his cause. First time Pats have won in Miami since 2019, wow. pic.twitter.com/diqWxGpEOJ

FINAL: Bengals 31, Jaguars 27
Honestly, the Jags should be 2-0. The pass interference called on Travis Hunter was atrocious, and cost the Jaguars the game.
Other than that, too many dropped passes from Jags receivers. They now have the stain of losing to a Joe Burrow-less team. pic.twitter.com/kMKQFZd51L

But look on the bright side: You still have more Super Bowls than anybody else.
