‘Surreal And Stunning’: Keegan Bradley ‘Deeply Honored’ President Trump Wanted Him To Compete In Ryder Cup

Trump’s title of “greatest sports president ever” just got elevated.

President Donald Trump recently showed his support for PGA star Keegan Bradley to pick himself to be Team USA’s playing captain at the Ryder Cup in September.

Unfortunately for 45/47, he didn’t get the result that he wanted as Bradley didn’t select himself to play on the 12-man squad, and this despite him holding the No. 8 ranking among American players.

Bradley’s selections to represent the U.S. were Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Cameron Young, Sam Burns and Ben Griffin. (RELATED: Marco Rubio Urges Trump To Issue Executive Order On Serious Marriage Problem In America)

Bradley stated that the “decision was made a while ago” that he wasn’t going to play, and even Trump wouldn’t be able to change his mind. With that being said though, he’s very appreciative of the support from the president.

“That was really surreal. I’ve been really blown away with the support. Any time you get the support of the President of the United States, it’s surreal and stunning. I really appreciate it, Mr. President. I hope you’re not disappointed,” said Bradley, who added that he’s “look[ing] forward to seeing [him] at the Ryder Cup,” per Yahoo Sports.

President Trump announced that he will be attending the first day of the Ryder Cup.

“When you see stuff like that, you start to wonder how we got to this point in my life,” said Bradley, per Golf Digest. “But I was deeply honored to have him say that.”

I’m with Trump, Keegan should’ve picked himself, but as long as we win, it doesn’t even matter to be honest.
