Sydney Sweeney Sends Message to Deployed Troops, Highlights Her Air Force Brother’s Service [WATCH]

Actress Sydney Sweeney shared a message of support for U.S. service members overseas this week, posting about her Air Force brother while tens of thousands of American troops remain deployed abroad amid the ongoing war with Iran, as reported by The New York Post.

Sweeney, 28, posted the message on Wednesday on social media, where she referenced her brother Trent’s deployment and expressed appreciation for U.S. troops serving overseas.

“Receiving calls from my bro always make me happy when he’s deployed,” Sweeney wrote on her Instagram story.

The post included a screenshot from a video call showing her younger brother in uniform. Sweeney appeared smiling during the call while her brother was shown in military attire.

In the same message, she extended her support beyond her family, addressing American troops stationed abroad.

“Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love! Thank you for your service :)” she added.

According to the report, Trent Sweeney has served in an Air Force munitions squadron since approximately 2020. He was promoted to staff sergeant in August 2025 and has been deployed multiple times.

It remains unclear whether his current deployment is connected to the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

The broader military situation continues to develop, with at least 3,000 U.S. Army troops being mobilized for potential deployment to the Middle East. It has not been confirmed whether those forces will be sent into combat.

President Donald Trump has previously stated that he would not rule out deploying American forces on the ground in Iran as the conflict evolves.

The war began on February 28 following a missile strike by Israel that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Tensions increased further this week after Tehran rejected a 15-point peace plan shortly after Trump announced that Iran had agreed to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

While Sweeney’s public comments on the conflict have been limited, her social media presence has largely focused on promoting her new lingerie line in recent weeks.

Her political affiliation drew attention last year when reports indicated she is a registered Republican, which prompted public praise from President Trump.

Additional attention followed photos from her mother’s 2022 birthday party, where several attendees were seen wearing “Make America Great Again” hats.

Sweeney and her brother have maintained a close relationship, and he publicly defended her in 2024 after criticism emerged over an American Eagle campaign featuring the slogan “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”

In a previous interview with Women’s Health in 2023, Sweeney spoke about her connection to her family.

“I love my family, and I love where I came from,” she said. “Anything my family needs, I’m always there for them.”
