‘Tampon Tim’ in demand, to speak at two state Dem conventions – can’t wait!

“Tampon Tim” is scheduled to speak at the Democratic state conventions in both South Carolina and California at the end of May, sparking buzz that he may be setting himself up for a shot at the Oval Office.

The South Carolina stop is notable because the state is the first in the Democratic primary process. California, on the other hand, is solidly blue and has a larger number of Democrats than any other state.

“Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is our special guest speaker for the 2025 South Carolina Democratic Convention. Governor Walz has earned national recognition and praise for his people-first approach to leadership. We are honored to welcome him to South Carolina,” wrote the South Carolina Democratic Party (SCDP) in an X post announcing Walz’s speaking gig.

Rusty Hicks, California’s Democratic party chair, put out a gushing statement on the decision to have Walz speak at their event.

“We’re fired up to welcome Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to the Convention stage in Anaheim,” he said. “He’s a former teacher, a veteran, and a trailblazer who’s spent his career fighting for working families and standing up for the values we all share — fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all.”

Both events are scheduled for May 31.

This comes after Walz inspired mockery from critics when he admitted he was picked by Harris for his ability to “code talk to white guys.” It was a desperate attempt to make headway into a demographic they’ve increasingly shunned in the last decade.

“I also was on the ticket, quite honestly, because I could code talk to white guys watching football, fixing their truck, doing that, then I could put them at ease. I was the permission structure to say you can do this and vote for this, and you look across those swing states, with the exception of Minnesota, we didn’t get enough of those votes.” he said during a Harvard Kennedy School forum.
