Seriously, you couldn’t wait?
There’s no ideal moment for a college football player to enter the transfer portal, but there’s definitely a worst possible time — like, right in the middle of the friggin’ game.
Insert Tarleton State running back Tre Page III who enters the room like the Kool-Aid Man, just check out what this guy did Saturday.
In completely selfish fashion, Page’s announcement that he was entering the transfer portal came at halftime of Tarleton State’s FCS quarterfinal playoff game against Villanova. (RELATED: Punches Start Flying After Ferris State’s Chase Carter Gets Blasted With Vicious Late Hit)
With the Texans holding the lead and just two quarters from advancing to the FCS semifinals, Page chose that very moment to announce that he is placing his name into the transfer portal.
Page racked up a team-high 839 rushing yards for Tarleton State this season, averaging 7.5 yards per carry, however, his campaign ended early in October. Still, choosing to publicly declare your intent to exit the team while they’re in the thick of a playoff battle for an FCS championship is an absolutely baffling decision.
To make the situation even crazier, the Texans would go on to blow their lead, with the Villanova Wildcats getting the 26-21 victory.
You truly can’t make this stuff up.
Thank You Texan Nation!!💜🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/EICJO7VDbh

I don’t know about y’all, but I get sick and tired of this “me, me, me” culture.
Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with NIL deals, individual branding and stuff of that sort, but we’re so bad now to the point where we’re announcing transfer portal decisions during halftime? Of a damn playoff game?!
Completely unacceptable.
