America’s largest teachers’ union found itself with egg on its face after a failed attempt to slam the Trump administration.
The National Education Association (NEA) celebrated the approval of a resolution meant to counter the Trump agenda.
But there was a problem… they misspelled one of their favorite words.
The defiant statement starts below, emphasis on misspelled word added.
“NEA pledges to defend democracy against Trump’s embrace of fascism by using the term facism in NEA materials to correctly characterize Donald Trump’s program and actions,” read the adopted agenda item, obtained by conservative education expert Corey A. DeAngelis, who shared it on X.
“The members and material resources of NEA must be committed to the defense of the democratic and educational conditions required by our hopes for a just society and the survival of civilization itself by stating the truth,” it continued.

Not only was the union raked over the coals for not spelling or correcting “facism”, they were also roundly slammed for not knowing its definition.
Educators who can’t spell the ideology they are railing against.
Educators who confuse socialism with democracy, and who don’t really know what fascism is, historically and ideologically.
Educators who are unfit to be educators.

One would think with something as “important” as this, you’d at least run it through spellcheck.
Being that this is a teachers union one would think they would know the definition of FACISM and that their little group is much closer to FACISM.

They should spend more time learning to spell “fascism” before lying to others that the gov’t of the US is fascist. pic.twitter.com/ljIMwdUg9b

I guess the NEA is not smart enough to spellcheck their own documents

To make matters worse, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten was slammed for a short Fourth of July message that had not one, but TWO misspellings.

Beyond pathetic.
On a more serious note, the NEA’s new resolution that seeks to oppose any attempt to eliminate the Dept. of Education is a doozy with plenty to be concerned about.
Below are some of its business items:

It’s little wonder why the NEA wanted to keep its resolution “private.” This is what happens when you don’t:
