Terror Suspect Sets Himself on Fire During Boulder Terror Attack [WATCH]

Newly released video footage shows the moment a suspected terrorist set himself on fire while launching a firebombing attack during a pro-Israel rally in Boulder, Colorado, as reported by The New York Post.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, is an Egyptian national who was reportedly in the United States illegally on an expired visa.

The incident occurred on Sunday during a peaceful pro-Israel march. Witness video captured Soliman wearing a bright orange vest and carrying what appeared to be incendiary devices.

As he began throwing Molotov cocktails into the crowd, one of the bombs ignited prematurely, setting his vest ablaze.

“He threw a Molotov cocktail at a woman, but when he threw the Molotov cocktail, he lit himself on fire,” eyewitness Alex Osante told Fox News. Osante also stated he saw Soliman remove what appeared to be a bulletproof vest and shirt after catching fire.

Authorities arrested Soliman shortly after the incident. At the time of his arrest, he was shirtless. Investigators later recovered 16 Molotov cocktails and a gasoline-filled weed sprayer at the scene. Officials believe these were intended for use in the attack.

Prosecutors allege that Soliman had been planning the assault for a year and targeted the pro-Israel demonstrators intentionally. Witnesses say he shouted “Free Palestine” during the attack. One eyewitness described seeing a victim “lit head to toe,” with four others severely burned.

Police Activity at Cape Canaveral Hospital Saturday night. The Cocoa Beach Police Department was on scene at the hospital investigating a suspicious incident. Also on scene was a heavy presence of BCSO. Fire trucks and ambulances were staged near the hospital on 520.

Soliman reportedly told investigators that he wanted to “kill all Zionist people.” He admitted to using Molotov cocktails instead of a firearm because his immigration status prevented him from legally purchasing a gun.

Federal prosecutors have charged Soliman with hate crimes and 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder. If convicted, he faces up to 624 years in prison.

Authorities have confirmed that 12 people were injured during the firebombing. Local and federal law enforcement agencies are continuing the investigation.

Soliman remains in custody as legal proceedings continue.
