A Texas Tech University student was arrested Friday after allegedly heckling mourners at a vigil for slain Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, according to police.
Camryn Giselle Booker, 18, was charged with battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office told the New York Post. She was also cited for assault, according to the Daily Mail. Booker was released on $200 bond. In the video from the vigil, Booker can be heard shouting, “F*ck y’all home dead, he got shot in the head.” A man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat then calls her actions “evil” and asks why she is being so “hateful.”

The man later accused Booker of being “aggressive,” prompting her to claim he made the remark because she is a black woman, the video shows.
Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott weighed in on the incident Sunday, posting a photo of Booker being taken into custody on his X account.
“This is what happened to the person who was mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination at Texas Tech,” the governor wrote. “FAFO.”

Booker’s mugshot was posted to the Lubbock County Mugshots Facebook page, which said she was arrested by Texas Tech Police.
Kirk was fatally shot Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was 31.
Authorities have accused 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson of carrying out the shooting. Robinson is not cooperating with investigators, Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” Cox also revealed Robinson was allegedly in a relationship with a biological male who identifies as a transgender woman. Robinson’s partner is cooperating with law enforcement, he said.
The Daily Caller reached out to the Texas Tech University Police Department, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Caller also contacted the university about claims that Booker has been expelled, which have not been confirmed.
