President Donald Trump dismissed the idea of a potential Hunter Biden–Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) Democratic ticket in 2028 with a mix of sarcasm and concern during a new episode of “Pod Force One” released this week, as reported by The New York Post.
Responding to a joke by New York Post columnist Miranda Devine about a “joint ticket” of Hunter Biden and Crockett, Trump replied:
“That would be some ticket. No, these people are crazy, so you never know what’s going to happen.”

The exchange followed Trump’s comments on Hunter Biden’s recent public defense of his father, former President Joe Biden, in two interviews last week.

In those interviews, Hunter Biden blamed Democrats’ 2024 defeat on party insiders abandoning his father and claimed Biden’s poor June 27 debate showing was the result of taking Ambien — allegedly without a prescription.
Trump noted that the Democrats had “two chances to win the election,” referring to Biden and then Vice President Kamala Harris. “They had him, and that didn’t work out, and he was down by 25 points or something, and then they switched him,” Trump said.

“It’s like taking a prize fighter out in the middle of the fight. It’s not fair. They took him out, they put Kamala [in]. Nobody knew who Kamala was.”

Trump then added:
“I guess they say she’s going to try it again [in 2028], and I don’t see it. But how about Crockett? Crockett is their new star.”
He went on to criticize Rep. Crockett, calling her “a low-IQ person.” Devine responded to the comment by humorously suggesting that Crockett and Hunter Biden could run together in 2028.
Crockett, 44, has repeatedly defended Joe Biden, saying his mental fitness “is supreme when it comes to comparing him to Donald Trump.”
Speaking on Katie Couric’s “Next Question” podcast last month, she added, “I never saw anything in Joe Biden that made me wonder whatsoever… The way that I would describe Joe is like, I mean, he’s a granddaddy, right?”
Crockett was also recently profiled by The Atlantic, which noted she uses a photo of herself as the wallpaper on her phone’s lock screen.

Hunter Biden’s media appearances also caught the attention of podcast host Joe Rogan, who remarked that Hunter “could be president” one day and “seems smarter than his dad.”
Toward the end of the podcast episode, Devine brought up a request to ask President Trump whether he would consider becoming First Minister of Scotland after leaving office.
Trump, whose mother was born in the Outer Hebrides on the Isle of Lewis, replied, “I could do that,” adding, “I would think I might be eligible. I could be, within six months or something like that. But it is a special place.”
