Ahead of Saturday’s radical “No Kings” rallies, the speaker of the House provided a “more accurate description” to encapsulate the extremism that represents the “modern Democratic Party.”
Having maintained the government shutdown for more than two weeks, leftist lawmakers were set to join herds of Marxists and other such rabble-rousers who’ve taken to equating law and order with monarchy. While shaming the Democrats for “caring more about spectacle than substance,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) laid out in a Friday press conference that the gatherings were really more like “the ‘Hate America’ rally.”
During his remarks, the congressman stated, “Tomorrow, the Democrat leaders are going to join for a big party out on the National Mall. They’re going to descend on our Capitol for their much-anticipated, so-called ‘No Kings’ rally. We refer to it by its more accurate description, the ‘Hate America’ rally. And I’m not sure how anybody can refute that.”

“If you think about what’s going to happen here tomorrow, you’re going to bring together the Marxists, the Socialists, the Antifa advocates, the anarchists, and the pro-Hamas wing of the far-left Democratic Party,” continued Johnson. “That is the modern Democratic Party. That’s where they’ve gone. And the Hate America rally is the common theme among all those groups. Listen to the language they use themselves.”
As New York City appeared poised to elect state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani (D) as mayor — a man whose radical politics had many combining Islamism and communism to categorize him as an “Islamunist” — organizers of Saturday’s demonstrations had no problem pulling back the curtain on their own agenda.
Rather than simply opposing the president’s America First agenda, a poster also called for the redistribution of wealth by demanding “No Billionaires” while sharing a list of participating organizations that included political groups, doctors, nurses, unions, socialists and communists.
Johnson shared the promotion and addressed some of the funding by calling out the dark money financier George Soros as he wrote on X, “Now we know Saturday’s events are actually funded by Soros, and sponsored by the Communist Party USA, among other far Left and communist groups. How could there any more appropriate nickname than the ‘Hate America Rally?’”

The speaker had supported his claim with a link to a report from Fox News that highlighted how Soros’ Open Society Foundations had provided a two-year $3 million grant to the organization Indivisible, which was said to be “managing data and communications with participants” for the nationwide No Kings demonstrations.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) had told Fox News Digital, “This politicized march is being organized by Soros operatives and funded by Soros money. No one denies these basic facts. The Trump administration and the Republican Congress are committed to countering this network of left-wing violence.”
The Open Society Foundations website denies the payment, training, or coordination of protesters and states its opposition to “all forms of violence, including violent protests.”
Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had announced Thursday that he would be attending the “No Kings” demonstration, demonizing Republicans at the same time, saying, “I will join the marchers, to celebrate what makes this country so great.”
In response, the Senate GOP dubbed him “King Of The No Kings Rally.”
