Modern Western societies are being undermined by two forms of totalitarianism: Neo-Marxism and Islamism. The threat from the latter, along with suggested responses, is ably outlined in this book. My suggestion: buy two copies, one for yourself to read, another to give or send to your MP.
This is a very accessible book, consisting of 12 chapters, each of which has been published in print or online before. Despite inevitable overlap, the book as a whole is not repetitive. Each chapter deals with a distinct area in which increasingly confident Islamism is active and has been successful in UK society. Most chapters are less than 20 pages, a couple are less than 10 pages, and two are longer – Islamophobia: Threat to Free Speech (40 pages) and Is Islam Antisemitic? (50 pages). I found the latter truly shocking, but it helps to explain why conflict in the Middle East is such an intractable problem. (I’m not suggesting that one party to those conflicts bears sole responsibility.)
