This Is By Far Our Weirdest College Football Game Of 2025

Strap up, ladies and gentlemen, because this one is going to be a wild ride.

College football can bring some absolutely wild moments, but what happened during Saturday’s game between Tennessee and UAB has to be high on the all-time list. (RELATED: Florida Gators Football Has Gotten So Toxic That Recruits Are Now Losing Their Marbles)

Going into a game between an SEC powerhouse and a small school, we already expected the Volunteers to blow out the Blazers, but head coach Trent Dilfer & Co. added more fuel to the fire when it comes to the Vols’ motivation to do so.

The top violation came in the first quarter after Tennessee took a 21-0 lead, when UAB safety Sirad Bryant started talking trash to the Tennessee holder before stomping on kicker Max Gilbert‘s leg (and/or foot). The scene happened while Bryant was running off the field after an extra-point from Gilbert.

Bryant was slapped with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but was allowed to stay in the contest.

But the weirdness didn’t stop there. Just check out these images of Blazers skipper Trent Dilfer taking pictures of whatever was going on (maybe his opponents?) in Neyland Stadium while his squad was warming up.

At the time of writing, Tennessee is thrashing UAB by a 56-17 score … karma is a bee-otch.
