Tiger Woods Claims To Be On Phone With President Donald Trump In Crash Scene Video

Newly released bodycam footage shows Tiger Woods walking away from his March 27 crash while claiming he was on the phone with the president.

The video shared by TMZ showed the legendary golfer walking freely, without handcuffs, before performing field sobriety tests. He was on a path, walking away from the police vehicle, as someone off-camera asked him not to venture too far.

“Yeah, I was just talking with the president,” Woods said.

Woods walked back toward police, and was heard saying, “Thank you so much. All right, you got it, bye,” although the person on the other end of the phone has not been officially identified.

Trump issued a previous statement about Woods’ DUI arrest.

“I feel so bad. He’s got some difficulty — there was an accident, and that’s all I know,” he said at the time.

He referred to Woods as “a very close friend of mine, he’s an amazing person, an amazing man,” before admitting he felt Woods was facing “some difficulty.”

Woods is currently in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.

Woods and Trump have a long standing friendship and are known to play golf together.
