Titans’ Cam Ward Gets Into Scrum With Veteran, And Crazy Enough, They’re Falling In Line With Him

How can you not love Cam Ward?

Cam Ward, a rookie quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, was celebrating a touchdown during practice and got a bit flashy with it. As a result, he ended up getting into it with veteran teammate Jeffery Simmons, with things escalating into a scrum.

Ward threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Calvin Ridley, and afterwards, he gave a push to Simmons. In response, the defensive tackle took a shot to Ward’s head, which led to Ward dancing in celebration.

Talking with reporters, Tennessee cornerback Jarvin Brownlee said that the tussle between the two didn’t mean anything. (RELATED: Are You Shedeur?: Browns Name Joe Flacco As Starting QB)

“You never want to see your quarterback in the middle of those types of things,” said Brownlee.

With that being said, Brownlee liked what he saw from Cam, which has me thinking that other veterans are falling in line with him, because let’s be honest here, Cam means straight up business. Just check out how the guy speaks.

Anyways, back to Brownlee.

“When it does happen, it just shows you the level of dog he’s got in him. He ain’t gonna take nothing,” said Brownlee. “It shows you how much he cares about his offense, how much he cares about winning. Same goes for both sides of the ball, with Jeff and him. You’re gonna get that same attitude, that same confidence, that same edge each and every day out of those two guys.”
