Tom Felton is returning to the wizarding world, and fans are spellbound.
The 37-year-old actor, best known for portraying Draco Malfoy in all eight of the original Harry Potter films, is making his Broadway debut in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Felton will take on the role of an adult Draco Malfoy in a limited engagement beginning November 11th, 2025.

Felton shared the exciting news with fans on Instagram, posting a video of himself looking straight into the camera and delivering one of his most iconic lines with a smirk: “Scared, Potter?”
The announcement sent waves of nostalgia through Potterheads around the globe, as it marks the first time a core cast member from the original film franchise will appear in the acclaimed stage production.
Appearing on the Today show to promote the role, Felton spoke openly about the emotional weight of stepping back into the world of Hogwarts. “We start 19 years later,” he explained.
“Now we’re no longer children. We actually are the parents. So as much as it is reprising an old role for me, it’s very much treading into new, unfamiliar territory. I know him quite well as a kid. I don’t know him that well as an adult.”

Felton also shared how meaningful it was to reconnect with Draco after so many years away.
“It’s very, very easy to get emotional. When they put my blond wig on for the theater production, I just immediately cried. It was just sort of like a blast from the past.”
He added that the experience has been surreal, noting, “It is very much a pinch me kind of situation. I keep thinking I’m dreaming, because I let go of that character 16 years ago.”
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, written by Jack Thorne, is an original story that serves as a continuation of J.K. Rowling’s beloved series.
Set 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the play follows a new generation of students at Hogwarts, focusing primarily on Harry’s son, Albus Severus Potter, and Draco’s son, Scorpius Malfoy.
The story explores themes of legacy, friendship, and the lingering shadows of past choices.
Felton’s Broadway run is scheduled to last for 19 weeks, from November 11th, 2025, through March 22nd, 2026.
Fans eager to witness this long-awaited return can secure tickets during the presale beginning June 10th at 11 a.m. ET.
Felton’s return to the stage comes at a time of renewed interest in the Harry Potter universe, with HBO actively developing a new television adaptation of the book series.
The upcoming show has already cast its central trio: Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
The star-studded cast also includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.
Fans of the franchise are delighted to see the Wizarding World continue to evolve both on screen and on stage.
With Tom Felton’s emotional return as Draco Malfoy, The Cursed Child gains a new layer of authenticity that is sure to enchant longtime followers and newcomers alike.
