Tom Homan Destroys AOC with One Line, Then Reminds Her of Law [WATCH]

Border Czar Tom Homan issued a direct and unapologetic response to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., following remarks she made during a town hall event in Jackson Heights last week, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

The exchange comes as tensions continue to grow over immigration enforcement and rhetoric surrounding the role of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez speaks at the “Our Fight Our Future” voter rally at Texas State University in San Marcos Tuesday October 1, 2024.

During the event, Ocasio-Cortez criticized the Trump administration’s immigration policies and claimed she was being targeted for using her “free speech rights” to inform illegal immigrants of their constitutional protections.

Referring to previous comments made by Homan, she told the crowd:

“Tom Homan said he was going to refer me to the DOJ because I’m using my free speech rights in order to advise people of their constitutional protections. To that I say: Come for me, do I look like I care?”

Homan addressed Ocasio-Cortez’s statement Tuesday night on The Ingraham Angle on Fox News.

“I take pleasure that I can live in her mind rent-free every day.”

“But we all know what she’s doing. Like I just said, she’s educating the worst of the worst on how to invade law enforcement.”

Homan went further, arguing that her actions may now be encouraging illegal activity.

“The tables have now turned. She’s educating people how to get prosecuted. Because you have a final order, it is illegal not to comply with that order,” he explained. “It’s a crime to take steps not to comply with ICE removal orders or not comply with ICE actions taken in custody.”

He also challenged Ocasio-Cortez to examine federal law before making claims about constitutional protections.

“You can’t hinder your own removal that was ordered by the federal judge. I would like AOC to read Title 8, United States Code 1253, because it’s starting tomorrow.”

Back in February, Homan revealed on The Ingraham Angle that he had contacted the Deputy Attorney General to recommend a formal investigation into Ocasio-Cortez’s public efforts to instruct illegal immigrants on avoiding ICE.

At the time, she had announced webinars intended to advise undocumented individuals in New York on how to avoid law enforcement.

“At what level is that impediment?” Homan said.

“I’m not an attorney… Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts? If so, what are we going to do about it? Is she crossing the line? I’m working with the Department of Justice and finding out where is that line that they cross.”

The Department of Justice has not yet issued any public response to Homan’s referral.
