Trump cleverly one-ups raging Dems and rogue Republican with new appointments

President Donald Trump has cleverly one-upped Democrats and a Democrat-light “Republican” with his latest moves.

As previously reported, Trump’s decision to nominate acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin to permanently serve in this role prompted massive outrage from Democrats because of his history of defending Jan. 6th protesters like John Strand.

The pushback wouldn’t have mattered, except that Republican Sen. Thom Tillis decided to side with Democrats, thus robbing Republicans of the votes needed to push Martin through.

As a result, Trump was forced to withdraw Martin’s nomination:

This was perceived as a huge setback at first until Trump brilliantly one-upped Democrats and Tillis with two additional new announcements.

First, Trump announced that, since Martin can’t serve as D.C.’s top attorney, he’ll instead serve as the director of the Department of Justice’s “Weaponization Working Group,” as Associate Deputy Attorney General, and as Pardon Attorney.

“Ed Martin has done an AMAZING job as interim U.S. Attorney, and will be moving to the Department of Justice as the new Director of the Weaponization Working Group, Associate Deputy Attorney General, and Pardon Attorney,” Trump explained in a Truth Social post.

“In these highly important roles, Ed will make sure we finally investigate the Weaponization of our Government under the Biden Regime, and provide much needed Justice for its victims. Congratulations Ed!” he added.

But the president wasn’t done.

Trump then announced that he’d be appointing Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro to serve in Martin’s former position.

“I am pleased to announce that Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia,” he wroteon Truth Social. “Jeanine was Assistant District Attorney for Westchester County, New York, and then went on to serve as County Judge, and District Attorney, where she was the first woman ever to be elected to those positions. During her time in office, Jeanine was a powerful crusader for victims of crime.”

“Her establishment of the Domestic Violence Bureau in her Prosecutor’s Office was the first in the Nation. She excelled in all ways. In addition to her Legal career, Jeanine previously hosted her own Fox News Show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, for ten years, and is currently Co-Host of The Five, one of the Highest Rated Shows on Television. Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the Top District Attorneys in the History of the State of New York. She is in a class by herself. Congratulations Jeanine!” he added.

Judge Jeanine is truly a patriot for stepping forward to serve in this crucial temporary post.

As a former judge and prosecutor, she is clearly in a league of her own with her qualifications.

Let’s hope President Trump can convince her to stay for all four years.

The dual announcements sent shockwaves through D.C. and probably triggered an aneurysm or two in congressional Democrats.

“Ms. Pirro has far greater name recognition than Mr. Martin, a relatively obscure right-wing activist from Missouri, thanks to stints as her reality TV counterpart ‘Judge Jeanine’ on the CW Network and Fox,” The New York Times admits.

This means it’ll likely be much harder to stop her ascent, unless, of course, weak-kneed, RINO Tillis has the cajones to go to war against her of all people.

Jeanine Pirro is a thumb in the eye of Thom Tillis, who hates America. Is he going to go to war to stop someone with her platform? This Trump is what we wanted in 2016. God had another plan. The problems had to get worse first. Maybe this is true also of the new Pope!
